Discovering Beauty — A Hand-Painted Mirror Event with Clarins Melbourne

Beauty is not something we apply. It is something we remember.

This season in Melbourne, I collaborated with Clarins on a live hand-painted mirror activation, centered around one theme: Discovering Beauty.

For this event, I transformed Clarins mirrors into one-of-a-kind keepsakes. Each mirror was painted live in-store, with my signature botanical motifs — native florals, soft wings, and gold leaf details. No two mirrors were the same. Each one was created for the guest in front of me, inspired by her story.

At Clarins, beauty has always been a dialogue with nature. That belief is at the heart of my own practice. A mirror is where we usually check how we look. I wanted it to become a place where we pause and reconnect with who we are.

Many guests told me afterward that their mirror no longer made them want to fix something — it made them want to pause. That is the essence of discovering beauty. It is not about perfection. It is about recognizing the quiet strength and softness that is already within us.

Thank you to Clarins Australia and to everyone in Melbourne who shared their stories and let me paint them.
