Created as a gift for the Lady Mayoress, this painting was made to honor a new beginning.

In our traditional culture, the snake is a symbol of auspiciousness, prosperity, and wealth. It is believed that the snake brings good fortune and abundance to the home it watches over.

Alongside the serpent, the parrot appears as another guiding symbol — representing freedom, wisdom, and strength. Together, they create a balance of grounded prosperity and soaring spirit.

At the heart of this work is transformation. The serpent's shedding of its skin is a metaphor for renewal and evolution. It speaks of growth, rebirth, and the courage to let go of the old to become something greater. It is a wish for new beginnings and the potential for greatness in the year ahead.
