Holy Spirit School Spring Fair — Donating ‘Precious’

This year, I was proud to support Holy Spirit School Spring Fair 2024 as a sponsor and art donor.

For the school, I donated my milestone work 《Precious》.

The painting features a soft, white newborn bunny — the most beautiful and fragile expression of new life. It is surrounded by five hands, each representing a different role we play for our children: Hope, Belief, Protection, Trust, and Discovery.

The bunny holds a string in its mouth, connecting the movement between the fingers. Though tiny, it becomes the dominator of the artwork — fearless and peaceful, unbothered by the giant hands around it, because of its innocent nature. It symbolizes curiosity and courage toward the unknown.

I created Precious in the third month of opening the gallery, in my birthday month, to mark a new chapter. The newborn bunny in the Year of the Rabbit represents the positive emotion of a new beginning.

On the day of the fair, the children themselves presented me with a Certificate of Sponsorship — thanking us for our support. It was the most meaningful moment: art given, and love returned.

Thank you to Principal Michael Hopkinson and all the families and children of Holy Spirit School for letting art be part of your celebration.
